Lesson Structure: Stand-alone Lessons; Unit Lessons; Interdependent Lessons; Five lesson plans are provided. Lesson plan #2 is the basic activity where students do the card sort. Each of the lesson plans can be used as a stand-alone or combined in any way. They easily complement comprehensive skill based money management curriculums. Each lesson plan can be done in 45 minutes but each can be expanded by using the activities for more discussion. They are a hands-on activity and students love playing with cards.

The main activity where students sort the cards to discover their own habits and attitudes about money is frequently used to begin the unit on finances.

Money Habitudes for Teens and the Guide for Educators is only available in English. The original Money Habitudes for adults is also available in Spanish and the directions are included in the deck of cards.

Additional Publisher Comments: Bulk orders can be discounted further. The cards are a simple toolbox that quickly engage students and are very flexible. Students and teachers frequently comment on how easy they are to use and that the teens like them. The cards are also endorsed by the Institute of Consumer Financial Education and are recommended in Canada for bankruptcy educators.
